Common Risks: |

Bleeding, hematoma, infection, loss of skin or nipple/arcola, loss or changes of sensation to nipple or breast skin, bad scars, extensive scars,
swelling, pain, inability to breast feed, future sagging will occur.

Preop preparations: |

No anti inflammatory medications for 2 weeks prior to or after surgery (may cause bleeding)

No smoking for 1 week prior and 2 weeks after surgery. (Causes an increase risk of loss of skin and/or nipple)

Recovery: |

No exercise or strenuous activity for 3 weeks Can usually resume work after 3-5 days Support bra necessary for 3 week post op
